Finally made it back to Idaho! But the fun is not over yet. Taking the hubby to my step-dad's cabin in the woods. It's a great time to hunker down and watch some scary movies at the cabin, where my family has been gathering the greatest movies on VHS and DVD for many decades. I have not been to the cabin since, maybe the early 2010's, so it was a really big deal to go back up there--especially with the hubby. We drove up in the afternoon and got settled in just in time to throw on a movie, Blood Quantum. This zombie-style movie features a cast made up of largely First People from Canada and they are immune to the zombie virus. It was really fun to watch, and since my hubby and his family have Native American heritage, it was one we really wanted to make sure his mom got to see. He and his mom have a loving relationship enriched by film, much like my family.
Pictured below are several decades worth of my family's art. The big one on the bottom is a classic from, I think the 1990's! I added a few of my pieces from this year. Alas, I didn't get any painting done here, but it is where some of my less-exciting pieces ended up.
