Its been a good start to the year, and I usually like to take time off in January because frankly--no one else really does. It's nice to have some of that time for myself and this year--doing a quick trip through Oregon. I left Boise and drove to Bend for the first night. Highway 20 through central Oregon is one of my favorite drives. Just outside of Brothers I found a view that happened to be glowing slightly purple against a bright white gold from the dead weeds on the side of the road. It's January so I did NOT get out of the car--it's very cold. I did the best I could, and while I don't like how it turned out, it was a lovely view.
