Another Sunday at Edwards Greenhouse with the PAPI crew. This time, though, something incredible has happened. I got my vaccine a few days before and I can smell again! The honeysuckle was...almost overwhelmingly wonderful. I cannot describe how amazing it is to start smelling and tasting things again, its been since November. It just so happened that the scene was also lovely for painting! Again, allowing me to work on my lighter tones and colors while working on composition and depth. Again, probably something a little ambitious for my skill level, but I was having a wonderful time. There were some challenging little areas, like the different archways and random plants. I had some great advice from one of the other painters, Bonnie, and she recommended that I use a little more blue wash to create more depth and not to get too into the weeds with the honeysuckle colors and definition. Back on the Strathmore 300 series watercolor paper with Sakura Koi watercolors and aqua brushes.
